A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
PROVIDING FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF COSTS RESULTING FROM THE
ABATEMENT OF CITRUS GROVES .NTHICH CONSTITUTE A FIRE HAZARD
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does hereby resolve as
follows :
WHEREAS, the City Council in a meeting on duly 3, 1979 , authorized
the staff to arrange for removal of dead citrus trees in the event that
property owners failed to take appropriate action to remove the trees
after proper notification; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department of the City of Redlands did notify
the owner of record of said property that said property had been
legally posted for abatement of dead citrus trees; and
WHEREAS, the owner of record showing on the last available assess-
ment roll failed to take action to abate the nuisance on said property;
and
WHEREAS, the staff did order the abatement work done by private
contractor and submitted a demand for payment, by mail, in addition to
a service charge of twenty-five percent (250) and this account remains
unpaid; and
WHEREAS , the City Council has considered the following report and
account together with any objections or protests by interested parties :
LOT CLEANING TAX ROLL
Parcel 171-461-43 $5, 599. 38
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Redlands approves the report and account as submitted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk will advise the Auditor
of the County of San Bernardino, who will record the assessment, and
the Assessor of the County of San Bernardino, who will enter the assess-
ment on the tax roll against said property.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 17th day of March, 1981.

The City Council of the City of Redlands requests the recorda-
tion of removal of dead citrus tree charges as itemized in
Resolution No. 3738 and placement on the tax roll against the
property.
We are enclosing a copy of Resolution No. 3738. A copy has
also been sent to the County Assessor as ordered in said
resolution.
Your handling of this matter will be appreciated.
