A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR THE CITY CLERK
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 36517 provides that the compensation of the City
Clerk shall be fixed by ordinance or resolution; and
WHEREAS, on October 5, 2004, the City Council of the City of Redlands ("this City
Council")by simple motion, last took action to approve the compensation of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, by the adoption of this resolution, it is the desire of this City Council to
confirm the compensation approved for the City Clerk on October 5, 2004;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redlands
as follows:
Section 1. Effective as of July 1, 2008, the annual base salary for the position of City
Clerk is $104,120.64. In addition to such base salary, the City Clerk shall receive the following
City-paid annual benefits:
A. $25,000 life insurance.
B. $225 for vision care.
C. $150 as an "off-set" to co-payments and deductibles for insurance plans.
D. $600($50.00/month) Vehicle Allowance
E. The full premium for City Clerk and eligible dependents under the PERS health
insurance plan and for City dental insurance plan.
F. Membership in the California Public Employee Retirement System (Cal PERS),
two percent (2%) at 55 formula. The City pays both the employer contribution
and the required employee contribution.
G. Contribution to deferred compensation on behalf of the City Clerk in the amount
of$1,125 per year plus one-percent (1%) of salary.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall receive the amount of One Hundred Dollars ($100)
per month as compensation for serving as the Secretary to the Board of the Redevelopment
Agency of the City of Redlands.
Section 3. Upon retirement from the City of Redlands with Ca1PERS service
retirement after 15 years of service to the City, the City Clerk is eligible for lifetime medical
insurance for the City Clerk, and the City Clerk's eligible dependents, under the City's Health
Insurance Plan.
