A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ESTABLISHING A POLICY FOR CONSIDERATION OF ALL REQUESTS FOR WAIVER OF
FEES IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands receives many requests from various organizations within
the City, seeking relief from the fees associated with special events; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands desires to promote the economic health of the City and
encourages the use of local businesses; and
WHEREAS, to further that effort, the City Council, at its regularly scheduled meeting on
March 6, 2001, adopted a policy to encourage local vendor participation in the City's procurement
process.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Organizations or groups requesting a waiver of City-related fees for special events
shall he prepared to report on their efforts to patronize Redlands'businesses for promotional products
at the time the fee waiver is requested.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 16th day of April, 2002.
