HomeMy WebLinkAbout5677_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO, 5677 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS SETTING PRIORITIES FOR FILING WRITTEN ARGUMENTS REGARDING CITY MEASURES AND DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO PREPARE AN IMPARTIAL ANALYSIS FOR EACH MEASURE WHEREAS, a special municipal election is to be held in the City of Redlands on Tuesday, November 2, 1999, at which time there will be submitted to the voters the following measures: 1. Shall Ordinance No. 2412, an initiative ordinance of the people of the City of Redlands amending the Growth Management, Design, Land Use and Circulation Elements of the Redlands General Plan relating to building permit and utility connection limitations, density limitations, scenic drives, historic properties, and circulation patterns in Southeast Redlands? 2. Shall Ordinance No. 2414, an initiative ordinance of the people of the City of Redlands amending the Land Use, Circulation and Health and Safety Elements of the Redlands General Plan to establish a new residential land use classification and change density standards in the San Timoteo Canyon and Live Oak Canyon areas, and establish grading limitations in those areas NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve, declare, determine and order as follows: SECTION ONE: That the City Council authorizes any and all members of the City Council to file written arguments IN FAVOR or AGAINST the City measures in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 9 of the California Elections Code of the State of California and to change the argument until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk after which time no arguments for or against the City measures may be submitted to the City Clerk. SECTION TWO: That the City Council directs the City Clerk to transmit a copy of the measures to the City Attorney. The City Attorney shall prepare an impartial analysis for each of the measures showing the effect of the measures on the existing law and the operation of the measure. The impartial analysis shall be filed by the date set by the City Clerk for the filing of primary arguments. ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 3rd day of August, 1999.
