RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZ-
ING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS TO FILE A
WRITTEN ARGUMENT FOR A CITY MEASURE
WHEREAS , an election is to be held in the City of
Redlands, on June 8 , 1976 , at which there will be submitted
to the qualified electors of said City the following City
measure:
Shall the City of Redlands incur a bonded
indebtedness in the principal sum of $960,000
for the acquisition and construction by said
City of a certain municipal improvement, to-wit:
an addition to the A. K. Smiley Public Library,
including the acquisition of equipment, furnish-
ings, fixtures and property and the construction
of such improvements to the existing library
building as may be necessary or convenient
therefor and all expenses incidental to or con-
nected with the authorization, issuance and sale
of the bonds?
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redlands
DOES HEREBY resolve, determine and order as follows;
SECTION 1. That this City Council, being the legis-
lative body of said City, hereby authorizes
Charles G. DeMirivn, mayor
Chresten M. Knudsen,, Vice Mayor
Ellsworth E. Miller, Councilman
Bertha Rose Grace, Councilwoman
Warren R. Elliott?... Councilman
being all of the members of said body, to file a written argu-
ment for the City measure set forth in the recitals here-
in accordance with Article 3 , Chapter 2 , Division 4 of the
Elections Code of the State of California and to change said
argument until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk
after which no arguments for or against said City measure

may be submitted to said City Clerk.
ADOPTED, SIGNED ANIS APPROVED this 16th day of March ,
1976.
