HomeMy WebLinkAbout4831_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 4831 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 4819 AND DESIGNATING HOLIDAYS TO BE OBSERVED BY ALL CITY EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS. WHEREAS , through the meet and confer process it has been determined that city employees are entitled to certain paid holidays; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redlands hereby rescinds Resolution No. 4819 and designates the following holiday schedule for city offices and all city employees. New Year's Day (January 1) Martin Luther King Day (Third Monday in January) President's Day (Third Monday in February) Memorial Day (Last Monday in May) Independence Day (July 4) Labor Day (First Monday in September) Columbus Day (Second Monday in October) Veteran's Day (November 11) Thanksgiving Day Day After Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day (December 25) Two (2) Floating Holidays If the holiday falls on Saturday, Friday shall be designated as the holiday and if the holiday falls on Sunday, Monday shall be designated as the holiday. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that effective December 1991, Christmas Eve Day shall be observed as a holiday when Christmas Day falls on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. In addition, for calendar year 1991 only, each member of the Redlands Police Officers Association shall be credited with eight (8) holiday hours in lieu of Veterans Day. , ADOPTEDSICITE X D AND A.-PROVED this 17th day of December, 1991 .
