3ection 5. AKERM.U-Z JLM CROSS. The American Red Cross in the City
of Redlands will, in natural disaster, furnish food, clothing, shelter, re-
gistration and information service, supplementary medical service when
requested , and rehabilitation to individuals and families affected by
the disaster.
In War-causes disaster, the i�merican Red Cross will furnish only
food, clothing and shelter to affected individuals and families.
The ;merican 'Red Cross will provide funds with which to finance
all its relief operations during natural disaster. Civil defense
financing will be provided by public or private agencies other than the
Red Cross for lied. Gross functions and war-caused disasters.
The Director shall be responsible for arranging through the chair-
man of the local Red Gross Chapter, for the participation of the Red
Cross in civil defense as a part of the mass care service in case of
war-caused disaster, and for the relationship between the Red Cross and
the civil defense organization in case of natural disaster.
Section 6. DUTIES. The civil defense and disaster duties of the
deputy directors and the chiefs of operating services and special
services shall be as described in "United States Oivil Defense, "
National Security Resources Board Docivaent 128, dated September 8, 1950,
costs of which shall be filed in the office of the city clerk for use
and examination by the public . Such duties as described in "United
States Civil Defense" may be chaneed from time to time by the Director
by written administrative orders, particularly for the purpose of
conforming to recommendations of the state director of civil defense
or subsequent modifications recommended by the federal civil defense
adziiai,trator. U U
Upon ruco=endation of the civil deferise a_rWl
council of the City of Redlands, such duties shall be changed in
accordance with such recomnendations.
