WHEREAS, There has been deposited in the General Land Office of the
United States a Certificate of the Register of the Land Office at Los
Angeles California, whereby it appears that full payment has been made
by the City of Redlands, California ccording to the provisions of the
Act of Congress of February 2b, 1925 (43 Stat., 979) , entitled,, "An Act
Authorizing the Secretary of the Interior to issue patent to the city
of Redlands, California, for certain lands, and for other purposes," for
the south half of the southeast quarter of Section fourteen in Township
one south of Range two west of the San Bernardino Meridian, California,
containing eighty acres, according to the Official Plat of the Survey
of the said Lands, returned to the General Land Office by the Surveyor -
General:
NOW KNOW YE That the UNITED STATES OF AiERICA in consideration of
the premises and in conformity with the said Act of Congress HAS GIVEN
AND GRANTED jand by these presents DOES GIVE AND ANT unto the said
City of Redlands,( California, the tract of Land above described; TO HAVE
AND TO HOLD the same, together with all the rights, privileges, immunities,
and appurtenances of whatsoever nature, thereunto belonging, unto the said
City of Redlands, and to its successors, forever; subject to any vested
and accrued water rights for minim, agricultural, manufacturing, or other
purposes, and rights to ditches and reservoirs used in connection with
such water rights, as may be recognized and acknowledged by the local cus-
toms laws, and decisions of courts; and there is reserved from the lands
hereby granted a ri.ht of way thereon for ditches or canals constructed
by the authority of the United States; reserving, also to the United
States, all gas, oil, coal and other mineral deposits that maybe found
in such land, and the right to the use of the land for extrac,ing the
same.
This patent is issued upon the express condition that the City of
Redlands shall use said tract of land for the purpose of water conserva-
tion for public benefit and whenever said lands cease to be used by said
.city for said purposes or are attempted to be sold or conveyed, then, in
that event title to said lands and the whole thereof shall revert to the
United States.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I,
Calvin Coolidge,
President of the United States of America, have caused these letters to be made
Patent, and the Seal of the General Land Office to be hereunto affixed.

As directed by General Land Office letter of ?august
7, 1925 (copy inclosed) , ypu are reauested to return to this
office, for purpose of correcting act under which mineral res-
ervftion made, the duplicate final certificate issued in con-
nection of purchase by the City of Redlands of S1 SEr- Sec.
14, T. 1 S. ,R• 2 ^!. , S.B.T. The ariount paid should also
read 31.25 per acre instead of at rate of .2.50 per acre.

The sale to the city AES authorized by the act of February
25, 1925 (43 3tatt? 979)0
You endorsed on the margin of the certificate
that patent is to contain provisions reservations, condi-
tionard limitations of the act of July 17, 1914 (38
State 50). .,his endorsement was erroneous and has ')een
canceled, in lieu thereof this office has endorstd on
the margin or+. the certificate the reservation requird by
the said act G February 25, 19259 as follows;

The certificate erroneously recites that the
