RESOLUTION OF REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE ATTORNEY
OF THE AGENCY TO COMMENCE CONDEMNATION PROCEED-
INGS FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING AND TAKING CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY FOR REDEVELOPMENT PURPOSES AND
EXECUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN OF THE
REDLANDS REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT.
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF
THE CITY OF REDLANDS that:
1. The public interest and necessity require the acquisition of property*
and property rights Of DELBERT C. FOWLER, RUTH H. FOWLER,
OR1,AND J. FOWLER and RUTH C. FOWLER
as described herein, by the REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS, a municipal corporation of the State of California, hereinafter
called "Agency", for public use authorizing by law, to wit: redevelopment
of the project area known as Redlands Redevelopment Project, and execution
of the Redevelopment Plan of the City of Redlands, California, which Redevelop-
ment Plan is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Redlands, and
for the demolition, removal, or clearance of certain existing buildings and
structures on land acquired by the Agency; the vacation, abandonment and
realignment of certain streets, alleys, utilities, and other rights-of-wav;,
dedication and reservation of certain areas for public streets, alleys, rights-
of-way, street widening, street installation or other street improvements,
and other public purposes, including installation of public plazas, pedestrianways
and/or pedestrian overpasses, and other necessary site improvements, faciliti 11,:,
underground placement of utility lines and services, reparcelization of the
area, rough grading of the acquired land, installation of street lighting and
utilities essential to the preparation of building sites for use in accordance
with the Redevelopment Plan, and for the further purpose of rehabilitation,
including alteration, modernization, general improvement or any combination

thereof by the owners of certain existing structures; and to -make convev-
ances of the real property thus acquired in accordance with the said
Redevelopment Plan for the purpose of carrying out said Redevelopment Plan.
2. The taking of the said property and property rights is necessary
to such public use, and is necessary, suitable, and proper for the purpose
of redevelopment of the project area known as the Redlands Redevelopment
Project of said city; that the use of all of said property and property, rights for
such purposes is a public use authorized by law.
3. That the acquisition of said property and property rights is planned
by the Agency and located in the manner which is most compatible with the
greatest public good and necessity and the least private injury.
4. The Attorney for the Agency is hereby instructed, authorized and
empowered:
(a) To acquire in the name and on behalf of the Agency, said
property and property rights by donation, purchase or condemn-
ation in accordance with provisions of the laws of the State of
California relating to eminent domain;
(b) To prepare and commence eminent domain proceedings in
the name of the Agency against the owners of said properties
and of any and all interests therein and claims thereto, in
the proper court having jurisdiction thereo.
(c) To make application to said court for an order fixing
the amount of such security as said court may direct and for
an order permitting the Agency to take immediate

possession and use of such real property or interests in real
property as may be subject to immediate possession. The
property and property rights referred to herein are that
real property located in the City of Redlands, County of
San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows:
Lots 11, 12, 13 and 14, Block B of Orange Grove Addition in
the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, as per map
recorded in Book 4, Page 39, records of said County.
Delbert C. Fowler, a married man as to an undivided one-
fourth interest, Ruth H. Fowler, a married woman as to an
undivided one-fourth interest, Orland J. Fowler, a married
man as to an undivided one-fourth interest, and Ruth C.
Fowler, a married woman as to an undivided one-fourth
interest.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 18th day of December
1973.
