RESOLUTION OF REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE ATTORNEY
OF THE AGENCY TO COMMENCE CONDEMNATION PROCEED-
INGS FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING AND TAKING CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY FOR REDEVELOPMENT PURPOSES AND
EXECUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN OF THE
REDLANDS REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT.
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF
THE CITY OF REDLANDS that:
I. The public interest and necessity require the acquisition of property
c4nd property rights of REDLANDS SECfJRITY COMPANY, A
corporation
as described herein, by the REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS, a municipal corporation of the State of California, hereinafter
called "Agency", for public use authorizing by law, to wit: redevelopment
of the project area known as Redlands Redevelopment Project, and execution
of the Redevelopment Plan of the City of Redlands, California, which Redevelop-
i-nent Plan is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Redlands, and
for the demolition, . removal, or clearance of ce-rtain existing buildings and
structures on land acquired by the Agency; the vacation, abandonment and
realignment of certain streets, alleys, utilities., and other rights-of-way;
dedication and reservation of certain areas for public streets, alleys, rights-
of-way, street widening, street installation or other street improvements,
,and other public purposes, including installation of public plazas, pedestrianways
and/or pedestrian overpasses, and other necessary site improvements, facilities,

thereof bar the owners of certain existin'g, structures: aid to make convey-
ances of the real property thus acquired in accordance with the said
Redevelopment Plan for the purpose of carrying out said Redevelopment Plan.
2. The taking of the said property and property rights is necessary
to such public use, and is necessary, suitable, and proper for the purpose
of redevelopment of the project area known as the Redlands Redevelopment
Project of said city; that the use of all of said property and property rights for
such purposes is a public use authorized by law.
3. That the acquisition of said property and property rights is planned
by the Agency and located in the manner which is most compatible with the
greatest public good and necessity and the least private injury.
4. The Attorney for the Agency is hereby instructed, authorized and
empowered:
(a) To acquire in the name and on behalf of the Agency, said
property and property rights by donation, purchase or condemn-
ation in accordance with provisions of the laws of the State of
California relating to eminent domain;
(b) To prepare and commence eminent domain proceedings in
the name of the Agency against the owners of said properties
and of any and all interests therein and claims thereto, in
the proper court having jurisdiction thereo.
(c) To make application to said court for an order fixing
the amount of such security as said court may direct and for
an order permitting the Agency to take immediate

possession and use of such real property, or interests in real
property as may be subject to immediate possession_ The
property and property rights referred to herein are that.
real property located in the City of Redlands, County of
San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows:
Lots 1, 3,' 4, 5, b and 7 Block b , Town Plat
of R011533.
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block 3, 'fawn Plat of Redlands.
Lots 4, 8, 9 and 10, Block 4, Town Plat of Redlands.
Lots 1, 2, 3 and a portion of 4, Block 7, Town Plat of
Redlands. _
