A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
WHEREAS, the opening of the 47th National Orange Show will be celebrated
on March 15, 1962; and
'AUEREAS., the City of Redlands wishes to commend this fine organization
for its years of outstanding and interesting presentations; and
WHEREAS, the National Orange Show will thus recall and commemorate the
100th anniversary of the planting of the orange tree in this area of
Southern California; and
WHEREAS, the Citrus Industry is a major factor in the economy of
this State; and
WHEREAS, the National Orange Show is a showcase of this industry and
its personnel;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS that on behalf of the City of Redlands it does hereby commend the
fine work of the National Orange Show and does honor the Citrus Growers,
Packers and all of our citizens affiliated in citrus production, and joins
with them in looking forward to its continued prosperity and development,
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6th day of March., 1962,
