RESOLUTION OF COnMENDATION
OF REDLANDS MEALS ON WHEELS
WHEREAS , Redlands Meals on Wheels has rendered outstanding
service to the connunity by providing hot meals to persons who are
unable to prepare adequate food for themselves because of illness,
accident, convalescence, age or other circurnstances , and
WHEREAS , such assistance is being provided by volunteers
on a non-profit basis , who deliver one hot, nutritionally balanced
meal, five days a week, Monday through Friday, between 11: 30 A.M.
and 1: 00 P.M. at cost or on a charitable basis;
WHEREAS , this most humanitarian service to people in need
of help has merited the praise and gratitude of the entire co-mmu-
nitv and this City Council, on behalf of t-he City of Redlands ,
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, as follows;
1. That Redlands Meals on Wheels has contributed to the health
and welfare of the City of Redlands and provided an essential
service in furnishing hot meals to persons who are unable to
prepare adequate and nutritional food for themselves .
That this City Council -hereby commends Redlands Meals on
Wheels for its dedicated and charitable contributions to
Citizens of Redlands and the community at large, and
extends this commendation, narticularlv to all of the
organization' s volunteers and first officers, Miss Gertrude

Reverend Henry Keene, second vice president; Dr. Alvin T.
Fishman, recording secretary; Mrs . Blanche Reese, corres-
ponding secretary; and Horace. A. Radford, treasurer.
