Parker,in consideration of Ten Dollars, to me in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant to the City of Redlands, California, a municipal cor- poration, for park purposes, all that real property situated in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows: Beginning at a point where the northerly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad property crosses the easteaylin; of Section five (5) Township two (2) South, Range three (3) West; thence north along said east line of Section five (5), one hundred (100) feet; thence north ninety (90) degrees, no (00) minutes West, ninety-nine eighty-five hundredths (99.85) feet to the northerly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad property: thence southeasterly along the northerly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad property to the point of beginning. In the event said city shall not, on or before two (2) years from the date of this deed, make use of s aid land for park purposes and thereafter use the same therefor, then the title to said property- shall thereupon revert to me, my heisr and assigns and this conveyance shall thereupon be of no effect or force. A communication from Mrs. Elie L. Parker, tendering to the City a deed for a small tract of land located near the new Southern Pacific depot in San Timoteo Canyon, to be used for park purposes as a Memorial to her father, was presented and ordered filed. 0n motion, the gilt was accepted, and the Clerk was authorized and directed to have same placed of record.
