A RESOLUTION OFF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGE205 OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS REQUESTING THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO SELECT PROJECT
AREA NO. 2 WITHIN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE COMMUNIT711
REDEVELOPMENT LAW OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the provisions of Sections 33322 and 33312 of the Health
and Safety Code of the Community Redevelopment Law of the State of
California authorize the Redlands Redevelopment Agency to request the
Planning Commission to select project areas within the "Redlands Re-
development Survey Area" as established by Resolution No. 2950 of the
City Council of the City of Redlands, and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands desires
that the Planning Commission shall select a pro3ect area designated
Project Area No. 2 in accordance with the Community Redevelopment Law
of the State of California, and formulate a preliminary plan for its
redevelopmTrient,
NOW, THEREFORE, PE IT RESOLVED by the Redevelopmenn A4ency of
the City of Redlands as follows:
SECTION ONE: That the Pianning Commission all select the area
hereinafter designated and described as Project Area No. 2, pursuant
to the California Community Redevelopment Law, Division 24, Part 1 of
the Health and Safety Code of the State of Califf a.
SECTION TWO: That the Planning Commission shall formulate a
preliminary plan for tne redevelopment of said Pro3ect Area No. 2,
SECTION THREE; That the boundaries of Pro'iect Area No. 2, witK-
in the City of Redlands, are as follows:
All that portion of the South 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 21,,
Township 1 South, Range 3 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian,
according to the Official Plat of said land approved by the Surveyor
General, dated September 4, 1958, described as follows ;
BEGINNING at the intersection of the North line of Colton Avenue,
85.5 feet wide as the same now exists, and the West line of the East
1/2 of the East 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of said
section; thence West along the North line of said Colton Avenue to
the intersection of said North line of Colton Avenue and the Easterly
line of the property described in the Memorandum of Lease executed by
B.M.I. Funds, Inc. , a California corporation, et al. , recorded Decem-
ber 28, 1960, in Boo]. 5313, page 564, Official Records; thence North-
easterly following last said Easterly line along a curve concave to
the Northwest with a radius of 20.00 feet, through a central angle of
900 , a distance of 31.42 feet; thence continuing aloLg last said East-
erly line North 00 25 ' 36" West, 280 .00 feet to the Northeast corner
of the property described in said lease; thence along the NortS line
of said leased property and its Westerly prolongation Soot.n 89'' 34 '
24" West, 445. 2 feet; thence South 00 25 ' 36" East, 300 feet to a
point on the North line of said Colton Avenue; thence West along the
North line of said Colton Avenue to its intersection with the East
line of the property conveyed to Runco, a corporation, by Deed recorded
June 28, 1963, in Book 5938, page 259, Official Records; thence along
the last said East line North 00 251 360 West, 90 feet, more or less,
to the most Northeasterly corner thereof, being an angle point there-
in; thence along the Northeasterly line of said Runco property North
57' 00 ' 30" West, 553 .67 feet to an angle point therein; thence con-
tinuing along the Northerly line of said Runco property North 710 461
44" West to its intersection wift the Easterly line of the property
conveyed as Parcel OA" to the State of California by Deed recorded
February 3, 19618 in Bock 5342, page 385, Official Records; thence
along the Easterly line of said Sta0e of California property North 4'
19 ' 45" East to apoint which is South 4" 19u 45" West, 44.07 feet
from the Easterly prolongation of the center line of Walnut Avenue,
relocated as shown on Sheet No. 29 of State Highway Plans, District
VII SED Route 26, Section "A" dated DeceKber 5, 1960, and swn as
Station 380-32-90 on the Center line 15 ' 45" an arc distance of 214.94
feet to the East line of the East 112 of ihe Southwest 1/4 of the
