RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO COMMENCE
CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS FOR THE PURPOSE OF
ACQUIRING AND TAKING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR
PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY PURPOSES.
BE 1T HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Redlands that;
1. The public interest and necessity require the acquisition of
property and property rights of WESTGATE-CALIFORNIA REALTY CO.,
a corporation, as described herein, by the CITY OF REDLANDS, a
municipal corporation of the ,State of California, hereinafter called
"City" for public use authorized by law, to wit: use and operation of said
property and property rights for a public right of way as a street of the
City of Redlands;
2. The taking of the said property and property rights is necessary
to such public use, and is necessary, suitable, and proper to provide a
public right of way for street purposes of said City and its inhabitants;
that the use of all of said property and property rights for such purposes
is a public use authorized by law;
3. That the acquisition of said property and property rights is
planned by the City and located in the manner which is most compatible
with the greatest public good and necessity and the least private injury;
4. The City Attorney for the City of Redlands is hereby instructed,
authorized and empowered:
(a) To acquire in the name of and on behalf of the City, said
property and property rights by donation, purchase or con-
demnation in accordance with the provisions of the laws of
the State of California relating to eminent domain;
(b) To prepare and commence eminent domain proceedings in
the name of the City against the owners of said properties and

of any and all interests therein and claims thereto, in the
proper court having jurisdiction thereof.
(c) To make application to said court for an order fixing the
amount of such security as said court may direct and for
an order permitting said City to take immediate possession
and use of said real property or interests in real property,
as a right of way for public use.
The property and property rights herein mentioned are described
as follows:
That real property in the City of Redlands, County
of San Bernardino, State of California, described
as follows:
That portion of subterranean garage, to include
ramps being used for the purpose of vehicular ingress
and egress from street right of way to the said sub-
terranean garage located in Block A, Subdivision of
Block 28 in the City of Redlands as recorded in Book
22 Record of Survey, Page 98 thereof, records of
San Bernardino County, State of California.
Excepting therefrom the following described parcels:
Parcel No. 1
Beginning at a point south 0° 01' 00" East, 16. 33'
distance from the northwest corner of said parcel,
thence north 0° 01' 00" West, 16.33', thence north
890 59' 00" East, 45.22`, thence South 12.99', thence
West 13. 43', thence south 13.83', thence west 4. 55',
thence south 107. 15', thence west 8. 91' to a point on a
curve, concave easterly having a radius of 382.0' thence
northerly along the said curve to the true point of
beginning.
Parcel No. 2
Beginning at a point north 33° 37' 15" W, 24.31' from
the southwest corner of said.parcel, thence south 330
37' 15" E, 24.31' to said southwest corner, thence north
890 59` E, 7. 42' thence north 62. 50', thence West 46. 83`
to a point on a curve, concave northeasterly and having
a radius of 382' thence southerly along the said curve to
the point of beginning.
