A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ADOPTING AN AMENDED CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE PURSUANT TO
THE POLITICAL REFORM ACT OF 1974
WHEREAS,the Legislature of the State of California has enacted the Political Reform Act
of 1974, Government Code Section 81000 et. sec (the "Act"), which contains provisions relating
to conflicts of interest which potentially affect all officers,employees and consultants of the City of
Redlands(the"City"),and requires all public agencies to adopt and promulgate a Conflict of Interest
Code; and
WHEREAS,the City adopted a Conflict of Interest Code on October 5, 1976,by Resolution
No. 3290 of the City Council; and
WHEREAS,the City has amended its Conflict of Interest Code periodically as mandated by
law and as necessary; and
WHEREAS,the City last amended its Conflict of Interest Code by Resolution No.5939 on
August 7, 2001; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to add to the list of those designated as employees the
Commissioners ofthe Business and Economic Development Advisory Commission and make those
members subject to said Conflict of Interest Code; and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands that
the Conflict of Interest Code, a copy of which is attached hereto, is hereby adopted.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of December, 2001.
