A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DESIGNATING THE SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION
(SANBAG) AS THE AGENCY TO DEVELOP A CONGESTION MANAGEMENT
PROGRAM

WHEREAS, Government Code section 65089 requires the development of
a congestion management program which includes the County and every
city in the County; and
WHEREAS, Government Code section 65089 provides for the County
Board of Supervisors and the city councils of a majority of the cities
representing a majority of the population in the incorporated are of
the County to designate by resolution the County Transportation
Commission or another public agency to develop a congestion management
plan and perform services and functions as specified by law to be
performed by such designated agency; and
WHEREAS, the San Bernardino County Transportation Commission
(SANBAG) is the appropriate public agency in the County of San
Bernardino to be designated under the provisions of Government Code
section 65098 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Redlands hereby designates the San Bernardino County Transportation
Commission (SANBAG) as the agency to develop the congestion management
program required by Government Code section 65089 and to perform the
services and functions requires by law for such designated agency.
