RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS WAIVING ITS RIGHT TO ITS ENTIRE
JUVENILE ACCOUNTABILITY INCENTIVE BLOCK GRANT (JAIBG) AWARD AND
CONTRIBUTING ITS JAIBG FUNDING TO A REGIONAL CRIME ENFORCEMENT
COALITION (RJCEC)
WHEREAS the Redlands Police Department declines to directly accept funds made
available through the Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant (JAIBG) Program
administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (OCJP).
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL.
OF THE CITY OF Redlands that the City of Redlands waives its direct subgrant award of
$18,379 and authorizes the funds to be expended by the regional Juvenile Crime Enforcement
Coalition for the mutual benefit of both units of local government.
IT IS AGREED THAT ANY LIABII.ITY ARISING OUT OF THE PERFORMANCE OF
THIS Grand Award Agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the
responsibility of the grant recipient and the authorizing agency. The State of California and
OCJP disclaim responsibility for any such action.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received here under shall not be used to
supplant expenditures controlled by this body.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 16th day of February, 1999.
