RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS WAIVING ITS RIGHT TO ITS ENTIRE
JUVENILE ACCOUNTABILITY INCENTIVE BLOCK GRANT (JAIBG) AWARD AND
CONTRIBUTING ITS JAIBG FUNDING TO A REGIONAL CRIME ENFORCEMENT
COALITION (RJCEC)..
WHEREAS, the Redlands Police Department declines to directly accept funds made available through the
Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant (JAIBG) Program administered by the Office of Criminal Justice
Planning(OCJP).
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Redlands waives its direct subgrant award of$18,427 and authorizes the funds
to be expended by the regional Juvenile Crime Enforcement Coalition for the mutual benefit
of both units of local government.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect upon adoption.
IT IS AGREED THAT ANY LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS Grant
Award Agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant recipient and the
authorizing agency. The State of California and OCJP disclaim responsibility for any such action.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be usedto supplant expenditures
controlled by this body.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this I'day of February, 2000.
