A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO HAVE ACCESS TO STATE AND LOCAL SUKMARY CRIMINAL
HISTORY INFORMATION
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the "Personnel Rules and
Regulations of the City of Redlands" by Resolution No. 3400 , as
authorized and directed under the provisions of Ordinance No. 1089 ;
and
WHEREAS, in adopting such Personnel Rules and Regulations of
the City of Redlands, the City Council directed the City Manager
and/or Personnel Officer to reject certain applications for employ-
ment for specified grounds or conditions ; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager cannot carry out these duties without
authorization from the City Council to have access to certain criminal
history information contained within local and state files as for
provided by statute;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Redlands does hereby direct the City Manager, or the
designated personnel officer, to conduct such investigations as are
necessary, including investigations into the background of applicants
for employment, and does hereby authorize the City Manager, or the
designated personnel officer, to have access to state and local
"Summary Criminal History Information, " as for provided in Section
11105 and Section 13300 of the Penal Code of the State of California,
to enable the City Manager to carry out his duties as required by the
provisions of the Personnel Rules and Regulations of the City of
Redlands .
