A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS PROVIDING
A DESTRUCTION SCHEDULE FOR CERTAIN RECORDS.
WHEREAS Section 34090 of the Government Code of the State
of California provides that a head of a City Department may destroy
any City record under his charge without making a copy thereof after
the record is no longer required, with the exception of:
A. Records affecting the title to real property
or liens thereon.
B. Court records .
C. Records required to be kept by statute.
D. Records less than five years old.
E. The minutes, ordinances, or resolutions of the
legislative body or of a city board or commission .
and,
WHEREAS the Director of Finance as a department head has
declared that in his opinion the records listed herein for de-
struction are no longer required and that they are not excepted
under the foregoing paragraph, and
WHEREAS, the consent in writing of the City Attorney has
been given for the destruction of said records whenever they shall
have reached an age of at least five years; and a copy of such con-
sent is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redlands that, pursuant to the provisions of Section 34090
of the Government Code of the State of California, destruction of
the following kinds of records is hereby approved whenever they
shall have reached an age of at least five years .

Payroll Warrants
Materials Warrants
Timesl.ips
Materials Warrant Vouchers
Stores Requisitions
Shop Repair Orders
Electrical Charges
Purchase Orders
Invoices for Money Due City
Cemetery Invoices
Treasurer ' s Receipts
Miscellaneous Receipts

WRITTEN CONSENT OF CITY ATTORNEY IN ACCORDANCE WITH GOVERNMENT
CODE SECTION 34090 .
The undersigned, as, City Attorney of the City of
Redlands, hereby states that he has examined the documents
listed in Resolution No. 2344 and sought to be destroyed by
the Director of Finance in accordance with Section 34090 of
the Government Code. These documents being no longer re-
quired, are subject to no excepting provisions of the Govern-
ment Code, and, as City Attorney, I hereby give my written
consent for their destruction.
