RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA
AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO COMMENCE CON-
DEMNATION PROCEEDINGS FOR PHE PURPOSE OF ACQUIR-
ING AND TAKING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC
PARKING AND STREET P'CURPOSES
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Redlands that:
1 . The public interest and necessity require the acquisition
of property and property rights of EVA B. RETTIG and EVA B. STOVER,
as described herein, by the CITY OF REDLANDS, a municipal corpora-
tion of the State of California, hereinafter called "City", for
public use authorized by law, to wit: use and operation of said
property and property rights for public parking purposes and a
street right of way in the City of Redlands;
2. The taking of the said property and property rights is
necessary to such public use, and is necessary, suitable, and prop-
er to provide public parking and right of way for street purposes
of said City and its inhabitants; that the use of all of said prop-
erty and property rights for such purposes is a public use author-
ized by law:
3. That the acquisition of said property and property rights
is planned by the City and located in the manner which is most com-
patible with the greatest public good and necessity and the least
private injury;
4a The City Attorney for the City of Redlands is hereby in-
structed, authorized and empowered:
(a) To acquire in the name and on behalf of the City, said
property and property rights by donation, purchase or con-
demnation in accordance with the provisions of the laws of
the State of California relating to eminent domain;
(b) To prepare and commence eminent domain proceedings in
the name of the City against the owners of said properties
and of any and all interests therein and claims thereto, in
the proper court having jurisdiction thereof.
(c) To make application to said court for an order fixing
the amount of such security as said court may direct and
for an order permitting said City to take immediate posses-
sion and use of said real property or interests in real
property, as to any riqht, of way for public use.
The property and property rights herein mentioned are des-
cribed as follows :
That real property in the City of Redlands, County of
San Bernardino, State of California, described as fol-
lows:
Lots 10, 11, and 12, Block 11, Town Plat of Redlands,
except land in Central Avenue.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 19th day of December, 1972 .
