A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST
AND NECESSITY DEMAND THE ACQUISITION
AND IMPROVEMENT OF PROPERTY AND PROP-
ERTY RIGHTS AND MAKING FINDINGS
RELATING THERETO
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Redlands as follows:
SECTION 1 . That the public interest and necessity
demand the acquisition and improvement of property and prop-
erty rights, to wit : Acquisition and improvement of exist-
ing historic buildings for use as municipal centers for the
arts and public cultural activities .
SECTION 2 . That the estimated cost of said munici-
pal acquisitions is $10,000,000 .
SECTION 3 . That said municipal acquisitions
require an expenditure greater than the amount allowed for
them by the annual tax levy and are necessary and convenient
to carry out the objectives, purposes and powers of the
City.
SECTION 4 . This Resolution shall take effect imme-
diately upon its adoption.

Resolution No. 4545 was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Redlands, California, at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day of July ,
1989, by the following vote of the City Council :
AYES: Councilmembers Wormser, DeMirjyn , Cunningham,
Larson ; Mayor Beswick
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
and that said resolution has not been amended, superseded or
repealed, and is in full force and effect .
