RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS SETTING
HEARING REGARDING ACQUISITION
OF REAL PROPERTY BY EMINENT DOMAIN
WHEREAS, the development of a commercial retail and
office complex and construction of certain flood control channel
improvements and ancillary public improvements within such area in
the City of Redlands will necessitate the acquisition by the
Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands (the "Agency" ) of
certain private property; and,
WHEREAS, the Agency staff has negotiated with the
owners of the property necessary to be obtained for such purposes,
but has been unable to acquire the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND
ORDERED as follows:
Section 1 . Hearing. That the Agency shall hold a
hearing on February 7 , 1989 , at 3 :00 p.m. , at Council Chambers,
Safety Hall, 212 Brookside Avenue, Redlands, California 92373 at
which time all persons whose property is sought to be acquired by
eminent domain in connection with the project described above
shall be given a reasonable opportunity to appear and be heard on
the following matters:
(a) Whether the public interest and necessity require
the proposed project;
(b) Whether the proposed project is planned or located
in a manner that will be most compatible with the
greatest public good and least private injury;
(c) Whether the property sought to be acquired is
necessary for the proposed projec-It.
APPROVED, ADOPTED AND SIGNED this 17th day of
January 1989 .
