A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ADOPTING 2022 WATER SYSTEMS MASTER PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands ("City") desires to plan for short and long term Capital
Improvement Program ("CIP") projects and establish an infrastructure improvement schedule for the
following twenty (20) years; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Utilities and Engineering Department was authorized by the City
Council on September 1", 2020, to enter into an agreement with Michael Baker International, Inc., a
professional engineering services finn, to update and develop a Citywide Water Systems Master Plan
("Plan"); and
WHEREAS, the City's consultant along with City staff has utilized the Water Master Plan
prepared in 1998, and the City's records of information, in developing a comprehensive master plan;
and
WHEREAS, the City's Plan will be used as the foundation for implementing structural CIP
projects when funding is available; and
WHEREAS, the Plan is now complete and requires City Council adoption;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That approval of this Resolution is exempt from review under the California
Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3) of the State's Guidelines
implementing CEQA.
Section 2. The City Council hereby adopts the City of Redlands' 2022 Water Systems Master
Plan attached hereto as Exhibit "A."
