HomeMy WebLinkAbout8420RESOLUTION NO. 8420 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO AND PARTICIPATION IN THE URBAN DROUGHT 2022 GRANT FOR THE CITY OF REDLANDS SUNSET RESERVOIR REPLACEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS The City of Redlands proposes to implement the Urban Drought 2022 City of Redlands Sunset Reservoir Replacement Project; and WHEREAS The City of Redlands has the legal authority and is authorized to enter into a funding agreement with the State of California; and WHEREAS The City of Redlands intends to apply for grant funding from the California Department of Water Resources for the Urban Drought 2022 City of Redlands Sunset Reservoir Replacement Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein by this reference. Section 2. That pursuant and subject to all of the terms and provisions of Budget Act of 2021 (Stats. 2021, ch. 240, § 80), the City of Redlands Municipal Utilities and Engineering Director, or designee is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and file an application for funding with the Department of Water Resources and take such other actions necessary or appropriate to obtain grant funding. Section 3. The City of Redlands Municipal Utilities and Engineering Director or designee is hereby authorized and directed to execute the funding agreement with the Department of Water Resources and any amendments thereto. Section 4. The City of Redlands Municipal Utilities and Engineering Director or designee is hereby authorized and directed to submit any required documents, invoices, and reports required to obtain grant funding. Section 5. If a grant award is made by the California Department of Water Resources, the City commits to providing up to 25% in matching funds for the City of Redlands Sunset Reservoir Replacement Project plus any remaining balance noted in the funding plan. Section 6. Applicant acknowledges and agrees that it shall be subject to the terms and conditions specified in the Agreement, and that the NOFO and Application will be incorporated in the Agreement by reference and made a part thereof. Funds are to be used for the allowable expenditures and activities identified in the Agreement. Section 7. Effective Date.
