RESOLUTION NO. 3113
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ENDORSING
PROPOSITION 9 - POLITICAL REFORM ACT OF 1974
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands, County of
San Bernardino, State of California, is concerned about the high
cost of political campaigns, and
WHEREAS, the cost of campaigns may give rise to problems of
improper influence being exercised by campaign contributors over
elected officials, and
WHEREAS, the Political Reform Act of 1974 (Proposition 9) has
qualified for the June 1974 ballot;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Redlands hereby endorses the Political Reform Act of 1974
(Proposition 9) and supports its approval at the June 1974 election.
ADOPTED, SIGNED, AND APPROVED this 7th day of May, 1974.
