HomeMy WebLinkAbout4915_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 4915 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS APPROVING ESCROW INSTRUCTIONS AND GRANT DEED BETWEEN THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AND TERRY S. HADEN AND JANICE H. HADEN AND KENNETH P. CARTER AND FRANCES I. CARTER (Redlands Redevelopment Project Area) WHEREAS, in order to effectuate the provisions of the Redevelopment Plan for a redevelopment project known as the Redlands Redevelopment Project Area (the "Project Area") , for the development of certain real property as a professional office building and related public improvements, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands (the "Agency") proposes to sell certain property (hereinafter referred to as the "Site") within the City of Redlands to Terry S. Haden and Janice H. Haden, Husband and Wife, as Joint Tenants, as to an undivided 1/2 interest and. Kenneth P. Carter and Frances I. Carter, Husband and Wife, as Joint Tenants, as to an undivided 1/2 interest (hereinafter referred to as the "redevelopers") , pursuant to Escrow Instructions and Grant Deed (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement") ; WHEREAS, before the Agency can enter into the Agreement the City Council of the City of Redlands (the "City Council") must make certain findings and approve the Agreement in accordance with Section 33433 of the Health & Safety Code, WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and considered the Agreement and has determined that the sale of the real property in accordance with the Agreement is in the best interests of the citizens of Redlands and is consistent with the goals set forth in the Redevelopment Plan for the Project Area; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has received and duly considered testimony presented at public hearing: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City council hereby finds that the environmental impacts of the sale and development of the Site in accordance with the Agreement are adequately covered by the programmatic Environmental Impact Report for the Redevelopment Plan which was certified by the City of Redlands on July 17, 1984 . Section 2 . The City Council hereby approves the Agreement by and between the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands and the Redevelopers, which Agreement shall be in substantially the same form as that attached to this Resolution and incorporated herein by reference, with such non-material changes and revisions, if any, as shall be recommended by Agency Counsel and approved by the Executive Director of the Agency.
