A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ESTABLISHING AMERICAN YOUTH SOCCER ORGANIZATION'S (AYSO) SATURDAY
ACTIVITIES AT MOORE MIDDLE SCHOOL A SPECIAL COMMUNITY EVENT
SEPTEMBER 1sT THROUGH JUNE 30TH ANNUALLY.
WHEREAS, AYSO is a successful community organization that provides its citizens a unique
opportunity for sporting activities and promotes family togetherness during its season from
September first through June thirtieth;
WHEREAS,AYSO's activities strive to promote exercise, sportsmanship,fun,a healthy lifestyle,and
provide healthier alternatives as its snack bar;
WHEREAS,AYSO's Saturday activities draw a significant number of people locally and regionally to
our community, assisting in the economic vitality of Redlands;
WHEREAS, AYSO's activities have become one of the many key attributes which sets Redlands
apart and unique within the community,
WHEREAS, AYSO utilizes the playing fields at Moore Middle School located at 1550 E. Highland
Avenue, Redlands;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED bythe City Council of the Cityof Redlands that pursuant to
the presentation of information provided during the hearing on this matter,the City Council hereby
finds and determines that the activities conducted by the American Youth Soccer Organization on
Saturdays beginning September first through June thirtieth annually on the playing fields at Moore
Middle School in the city of Redlands is a special community event.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 16th dayof September, 2003.

was duly adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 16th day of
