W,KPYAS, the voters of the State of California have voted bonds to construct
the Feather River Project; and
WHEREAS,, the Department of Water Resources has determined that the East Branch
of the Feather River Aqueduct should be completed by the year 1972 for the purpose
of delivering Feather River water to portions of Southern California; and
WEREA-39 the undersigned is a political subdivision within the area to be serviced
by said East Branch of the Feather River Aqueduct� commonly known as the wHigh Line
Route;"
.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Cmcil of the City of Redlands that
said City Cojncil urgently requests the Governor of the State of California and the
State Department of 'dater Resources to continue to proceed Without delay to complete
31 the steps necessary to complete the construction of the East Branch of the
Feather River Aqueduct by the year 1972 in accordance with the time table established
at the time the Feather River Bond Issue was adopted by the voters of the State of
California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redlands larges that
the East Branch of the Aqueduct be constructed along the "High Line Route" established
by the State Department of Water Resources as furnishing the best and most economical
route for the transmission of -supplemental water to San Bernardino County,, the San
Gabriel Valley, the Eastern portion of Los Angeles Colunty and San Diego County.
BE IT FURTHER RE30LVED that the City Clerk be directed to forward a certifier-'

copy of this resolution forthwith to the Governor of the State of CaUfornia and the
State Director of Water Resources.
