A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ESTABLISHING
NEW COMPREHENSIVE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT FEES AND
ALLOCATING SUCH FEES TO SPECIFIED CATEGORIES OF
TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENTS
Whereas, Chapter 3.54 of the Redlands Municipal Code establishes a comprehensive
Transportation Improvement fee to implement the City's General Plan to ensure that streets, street
improvements,and traffic signal improvements and facilities which meet City standards are available
concurrent with the need caused by new development in the City; and
Whereas,pursuant to a study entitled"City of Redlands Transportation Facilities Fee Study,"
dated November 15, 2006, the City Council has adopted Ordinance number 2652 to establish the
new comprehensive Transportation Improvement fee, identified in Chapter 3.54 of the Redlands
Municipal Code; and
Whereas,Section 3.54.080 ofthe Redlands Municipal Code further provides that the specific
amount of the Transportation Improvement fee established pursuant to Chapter 3.54 shall be
established by resolution of the City Council of the City of Redlands;
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows:
Section 1. The Transportation Improvement fee is hereby established in the amount of Four
Hundred Four Dollars ($404.00) per trip generated by a new development project. The
Transportation Improvement fee collected by the City shall be allocated to various Transportation
Improvements in the following percentages:
Street system - sixty percent (60%)
Traffic signal system - ten percent (10%)
Freeway interchanges - thirty percent (30%)
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect on the effective date of City of Redlands
Ordinance No. 2652,
