HomeMy WebLinkAbout5388_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO 5388 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING FEES FOR PARK FACILITY RESERVATIONS, PERMITS AND USES. WHEREAS, The City of Redlands operates and maintains various parks and park facilities; and WHEREAS, these parks and park facilities are intended to be used for City as well as individual and group activities; and WHEREAS, Chapter 12.44 of the Redlands Municipal Code authorizes this City Council to establish by resolution fees for the reservation and use of parks and park facilities; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Department incurs costs to operate and maintain parks and park facilities; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows: Section 1. The user categories and corresponding fees per persons and groups requiring reservations, permits or application for use of City parks and park facilities as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto are hereby adopted. Section 2. All previous fees for reservations, permits and uses of parks and park facilities listed in Exhibit "A" are hereby rescinded. V oyzer, WCC,16rk EXHIBIT "A" CITY OF REDLANDS PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT SCHEDULE OF FEES DEFINITION OF USE GROUPS Use fees are established based on uses by the following groups: GROUP 1: CITY OF REDLANDS _ City personnel (for departmental, city and or regional use), and other public agencies with reciprocal agreements. NO RESERVATION NOR USE FEE. GROUP 2: REDLANDS RESIDENTS, REDLANDS NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND COMMUNITY GROUPS, REDLANDS BUSINESSES - All residents of the City of Redlands; Redlands non-profit or charitable groups with registered non-profit status with the State of California, complete with tax exempt identification number; Redlands community groups with free membership open to the general public; Redlands businesses with operations in Redlands and in possession of a Redlands business license. PAY RESERVATION FEE - NO USE FEE. GROUP 3: ALL NON-RESIDENT INDIVIDUALS, GROUPS, ORGANIZATIONS AND BUSINESSES - All residents, groups or organizations, and businesses located outside of the Redlands city limits; all groups soliciting donations or charging admission; all groups sponsoring activities closed to the general public. Excepting therefrom the following organizations: The Redlands Community Music Association for use of Redlands Bowl; The Crafton Hill Summer Theater Festival for use of the Sewall Theater. PAY RESERVATION AND USE FEES. INSURANCE: Any person or groups within Group 2 and Group 3 holding an event requiring a permit within any City park pursuant to Chapter 12.44 of the Redlands Municipal Code shall provide evidence of current insurance with the City named as an additional insured, insuring the City from any and all liability for injury to the persons or property resulting from the activity. The minimum amount of such insurance shall be determined by the Risk Manager in his/her discretion. CITY OF REDLANDS PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT SCHEDULE OF FEES RESERVATION OF PARK FACILITIES GROUP 2 USERS The following fees are established for reservations of parks and park facilities and are paid by all GROUP 2 users. ALL PARK AND FACILITY RESERVATIONS OR PERMITS All reservations or permits for use by fifty or more persons, use of amplified sound, and use of alternative power Reservation and/or Permit Fee = $25.00 Clean-up deposit - up to 50 persons = $100.00 Clean-up deposit - 51 to 150 persons = $200.00 Clean-up deposit - 151 or more persons = $300.00 In addition to the park and facility reservation or permit fee, the following reservation fee shall be paid for specific facilities listed below: SYLVAN PARK Section A (Group picnic) Tables i thru 8 = $15 per table (seats 35) Tables 9 thru 17 = $10 per table (seats 20) Section C (Group picnic) Tables 1 thru 7 -= $20 per table (seats 45) Covered Picnic Area = $15 per hour Gazebo = $15 per hour Clean-up costs = actual costs incurred REDLANDS BOWL Stage (outdoor area of Prosellis only) = $10 per hour Prosellis (includes stage area) = $15 per hour Bowl = $15 per hour Park Attendant = $40 per hour Clean-up costs = actual costs incurred Clean-up deposit = $300 plus $50 per hour AVICE MEEKER SEWALL THEATER Apron = $10 per hour Open Stage (included apron) = $15 per hour Park Attendant = $40 per hour Clean-up costs = actual costs incurred Clean-up deposit = $300 plus $50 per hour CITY OF REDLANDS PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT SCHEDULE OF FEES RESERVATION AND USE OF PARK FACILITIES GROUP 3 USERS The following fees are established for reservations and use of parks and park facilities and are paid by all GROUP 3 users.
