A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ESTABLISHING FEES FOR ITS ANIMAL SHELTER PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands has approved the development of a
spay-neuter program for dogs and cats adopted through the Redlands Animal Shelter; and
WHEREAS, the spay-neuter program consists of "public-private" partnership between the
City's Animal Shelter, non-profit groups -- such as the Friends of the Redlands Animal Shelter,
BARO, and the Redlands District Humane Society -- and private veterinarians; and
WHEREAS, as part of the program,the Redlands' City Council must establish fees to cover
the shelter's reasonable costs of providing the services under the programa.; and
WHEREAS, for purposes of efficiency and economy, Redlands Animal Control Staff has
determined that it is also appropriate at this time to establish and/or revise other fees associated with
the operation of the City's Animal Shelter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as
follows:
Section 1. The following fees are hereby established:
Service Fees
Adoption Fees -Dogs $39.50 +tax
($17.50 adoption fee; $12 DHLPPC;
$10 refundable spay-neuter deposit)
Adoption Fees - Cats $35 +tax
($5 adoption fee; $10 feline 3 in I shot;
$20 refundable spay-neuter deposit)
Adopt a Pet for Seniors/Disabled $10 refundable spay-neuter deposit (cats)
$ 5 refundable spay-neuter deposit (dogs)
Adopt a Pet Program $10 refundable spay-neuter deposit (cats)
(Once per month special) $ 5 refundable spay-neuter deposit (dogs)
Apprehension of Unlicensed Dog $20
Daily Board $ 5
DHLP/Parvo/Corona Vaccine $18
License Fee $14 - Unaltered; $7 - Altered
Replacement License Fee $ 2

Animal Trap Rentals $ 5 +$20 refundable deposit
Spay-Neuter Program
Dogs $58 +tax
$30 spay-neuter deposit, $18 vaccination, $10 sale)
Cats $30 +tax
($15 spay-neuter deposit, $10 vaccination, $5 sale)
Section 2. The fees specified in this resolution shall become effective immediately upon
the adoption of this resolution.
