HomeMy WebLinkAbout3510_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 3510 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF FEES TO BE CHARGED BY THE BUILDING AND SAFETY, PLANNING, AND PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENTS FOR VARIOUS SERVICES AND RESCINDING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS : That effective July 1, 1978, the following schedule of fees charged for the following services by the Building and Safety, Planning, and Public Works Departments of the City shall be in force and effect: GENERAL : This Resolution is organized into five sections : SECTION I : All preliminary fees required by the City of any applicant for actions involving Planning, Public Works, and Building and Safety Departments. SECTION II : All fees required by the City of any applicant whose requests require final approval or clearance by Public Works and Building and Safety Departments. SECTION III : All fees required by the City in connection with issuance of occupancy permit or the furnishing of service. SECTION IV: All miscellaneous City fees for various construction activities requiring City approval. SECTION V: Definitions . The penalty is charged for each project, irre- gardless of the number of actions . 3. Water or Sewer System Installation Inspection fee of $0 . 20/lineal foot inside city limits . Outside city limits the inspection fee of $0 .40/lineal foot will be paid. 4 . Water Service Installation Charge per the Following Table : a) SIZE CHARGE 5/8 x 3/4" or 1" $ 350 . 00 V-211 $ 575 . 00 2" $ 730 .00 b) Within subdivision or lot splits where new mains are laid to city specifications and service lateral is installed to lot at the time of laying of main: Meter only, set in place: SIZE CHARGE 5/8 x 3/4" or 1" $ 90 . 00 11-21, $ 220 . 00 2" $ 310 .00 c) All service larger than two inches (2") or any one and one-half inch (12") or two inch (2" ) which will exceed the charge set under paragraph 4 a) or b) shall be based on the cost of the meter and service lateral , and all labor for installation plus ten percent (10%) . 5 . Water or Sewer Service - OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS Sign Annexation Agreement. Other requirements same except as noted above. Section III , paragraph 3, also applies for sewer service with fees increased by 50 percent. A pro- cessing fee of $50 per dwelling unit with a $500 maximum is required. Nonresidential uses require a fee of $500 . Resolution No. 3510 Page 8 Prior to final approval of a development, to assure the City that the work will be completed, a bond shall be furnished guaranteeing the faithful performance of the work in the sum equal to the cost as estimated by the City Engineer. Ninety percent (900) of this bond may be furnished by a qualified surety company, except in cases where a cash deposit is required by the City Council . Ten percent (10%) of the bond amount must be cash or a letter of credit payable upon demand of the City . This money may be used as directed by the City Manager, or a person designated by him, to pay the costs of maintaining barricades , correcting street hazards, or repairing any street, irrigation line, or other utility causing a hazard, nuisance, or inconvenience to the public. 6 . Water Capital Improvement Charge The following charges will be paid at the time of application for service . The capital improvement charge will be required for all building permits issued subsequent to the adoption of this resolution. a) Single Family Dwelling Units Zone Minimum Lot Size Charge per Lot or Parcel R-1 7, 200 sq. ft. $ 900 R-S 10, 000 sq. ft. 1 ,100 R-E 14 , 000 sq. ft. 1 , 250 R-A 20 , 000 sq. ft. 1, 400 The charge for service to any single family dwelling located outside the City of Redlands shall be 1 . 25 times the rate charged within the City of Redlands . b) Multiple Residential Units The charge for multiple residential or mobile home park lots within the City of Redlands shall be $550 per dwelling unit or mobile home space. The charge for multiple residential or mobile home park development outside the City of Redlands shall be $700 per dwelling unit or mobile home space . c) Nonresidential Development The charge for water service to all nonresidential development within the City of Redlands shall be at the rate of $0 . 33 per cubic foot times the estimated monthly water demand in cubic feet as is estimated by the City of Redlands . The charge for all nonresidential development outside the City of Redlands shall be 1 . 25 times the rate inside the City of Redlands . Resolution No . 3510 Page 9 SECTION V - DEFINITIONS The following expressions, as used in this Resolution, are hereby defined: a) MID/MO. : Represents one miners " inch per day each month which is the equivalent of nine gallons per minute for a 24 hour period each month. Water stock which will deliver the equivalent amount of water to the City is itemized in Resolution No. 3324. b) The expression "/" means "per" i.e. , $50.00/tree means $50.00 per tree, etc. ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 29th day of June 1978. Taylor City Attorney This resolution rescinds Resolution Nos. 2912, 2954, 3129, 3188, 3334, and 3415 Resolution No. 3510 Page 10 MEMORANDUM FROM : LORR I E POYZER, v I ;Y CLERK T0 ; John Holmes DATE ; December 5 , 1986 After a thorough review of Resolution No. 3510 and all of its amendments which established the old fees and charges , we find that the attached amendment , Resolution No. 3534 - Drainage Fee , is the only fee still in effect. Would it be possible to incorporate this drainage fee into the Cost Comparison (whatever) study and eliminate Resolution 3510 as amended entirely? It would be most helpful for everyone involved if we could. Thanks ,
