HomeMy WebLinkAbout4429_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 4429 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF PUBLIC FACILITY FEES FOR FIRE, POLICE AND LIBRARY FACILITIES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands (this City Council" ) has approved first reading of Ordinance No. 2048 which will establish a requirement for the payment of public facility fees by new development within the City to ensure that new public facilities are constructed and made available concurrent with the need caused by the new development; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No . 2048 requires that this City Council shall, by resolution , adopt a schedule setting forth the specific amount of fees which will be levied upon new development within the City; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has undertaken a comprehensive study of the City' s existing public facilities and the need for public facility construction and related improvements caused by new development; and WHEREAS , the results of the City Engineer' s study demonstrate that the amount of public facility fees should be based upon the type of development, the zone in which such development is proposed to be located and the estimated percentage of contribution caused by the construction of such development; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows: SECTION I . Local public facility fees for residential, commercial and industrial development are hereby determined to be: (1) $1 ,808 .22 per dwelling unit for residential development constructed in the RA zone; (2) $1,750 .12 per dwelling unit for residential development constructed in the RE zone; (3) $1 ,672 .67 per dwelling unit for residential development constructed in the RS zone; (4) $1 ,614 .61 per dwelling unit for residential development constructed in the R-1 zone; (5) $1 ,678 .32 per dwelling unit for residential development constructed in the R-2, R-2 ,2000 and R-3 zones; (6) $1 ,654 .46 per dwelling unit for residential development constructed in the A-1 and A-2 zones; (7) $1 ,808 .33 per dwelling unit constructed in the A-P zones; (8) $1,346 .00 per acre plus $0 .10 per square foot of gross building area for commercial development constructed in any C zone; and (9) $1 ,346 .00 per acre plus $0 .10 per square foot of gross building area for industrial development in any I/M zones, based upon the attached table . SECTION 2. This resolution shall become effective concurrent with the effective date of Ordinance No. 2048. ADOPTED this 20th day of December, 1988.
