A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ENTITLED AS FOLLOWS: "ESTAB-
LISHMENT OF A SCHEDULE OF INTERMENT AND DISINTERMENT FEES, OVERTIME
CHARGES , LOT AND MAUSOLEUM CRYPT PRICES , RESALE ITEM PRICES , AND
MARKER SETTING FEES, PLUS CREDIT AND DISCOUNT REGULATIONS APPLICABLE
TO THE OPERATION OF HILLSIDE MEMORIAL PARR, REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA, A
CEMETERY OWNED BY THE CITY OF REDLANDS , CALIFORNIA, A MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION" AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 3479 .
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve as follows :
The following schedule is established for fees and charges for
property sold or services rendered by Hillside Memorial Park
(reference is made to Resolution No. 3585, Establishing Cemetery
Rules and Regulations) :
SECTION ONE : Interment and Disinterment Fees and Overtime Rates .
(a) Interment Fees :

is used for #2 interment.
NOTE: Interment fee in uncared-for area - $55 .00
(No sectional box provided. )
Add $45.00 for cremated interments requiring a committal
service .

All re-interments same as regular prices .
(e) Baby Interment Fees :
If casket does not measure more than 12 inches wide
and 24 inches long, interment can be made in smaller
spaces to be picked by Cemetery Director. Burial
will not be in a cement box. Burial will not be in
Babyland.
Complete cost, including space and burial $ 60 . 00
Maximum marker size shall be 6" x 12" .
(f) Baby Disinterment Fees :
Fee schedule same as Section One (c) for
Jgsmaller sizes .

(9) Overtime work is defined as interment work, or graveside
services required outside of cemetery operating hours .
All interments and disinterments requiring overtime work
will be charged at double the regular fees for these
services (see above for reqular fee schedule . )
(h) Cemetery Operating Hours :
1 . Weekdays (excluding Saturday afternoons , Sundays ,
and City established holidays) . 8 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m.
2. All interment services conducted in the cemetery,
to avoid overtime charge, shall leave the premises
not later than 3: 30 p.m. on weekdays and 11: 00 a .m.
on Saturdays .
(i) Interments Requiring Overtime Work:
Overtime work rates shall be charged for all funerals
leaving the cemetery after 3 : 30 p.m. on Mondays , Tuesdays ,
Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Friday. Overtime is charged
at the rate of $10 .00 for each half hour or portion thereof
for any funeral leaving the cemetery after 3 : 30 pm. on
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and 11 :00 a.m.
on Saturday. Minimum overtime charge is $25 .00 .
Except in cases of extreme emergency, as determined by the
Cemetery Director, interments will not be authorized on
Saturdays , Sundays , or holidays observed by city employees .
When authorized, the interment charges will be doubled.

Any small parcel of ground not suitable for regular
adult burials, but suitable for baby interments, shall
be sold at $12 .00 per square foot. (Property price
$10 .00 per square foot, Endowment fee $2 .00 per square
foot. )

SECTION THREE: Resale Item Prices:
The Cemetery Director is authorized to place special orders for vases,
urns, and .plaques with . manufacturers., as . requested by customers , The
customer is required to make payment prior to the placement of the
order. The mark-up for such special carders will be 100% of the
catalog price . Sales tax will be added, as required. Transportation
charges will be paid by Hillside Memorial Park.
SECTION FOUR: Marker and Setting Fees :
(a) Marker Setting (Cement borders supplied by manufacturer) :
1.2" x 24" (Singles) $ 50 .00 + $ 5 .00 to End.
15" x 36" (Doubles) 55 .00 + 10 .00 to Enol .
81F x 16" 35 .00 + 5 .00 to End.
6" x 12" 35 .00 - 5 .00 to End.

(b) Setting Fee (Borders supplied by Cemetery) - including
all sources of supply (See NOTE*) :
Same as Section Four (a) with the cost of cement work
added.
*NOTE: If necessitated by manufacturing cost price
variations, prices charged for resale items
may be changed by the Cemetery Director as
approved by the City Manager. California State
Sales Tax will be added.
SECTION FIVE: Credit and Discount Regulations .
(a) No interment will be allowed unless and until the purchaser
has paid to the City an amount equal to the interment fee
for such interment. The only exceptions will be those cases
where all burial charges are to be paid from an estate , and
then only after the Cemetery Director, or his representative,
has verified with the Administrator or Executor of the
estate that there will be sufficient funds to satisfy
burial expense .
On behalf of their customers , mortuaries located in the
City of Redlands, City of Loma Linda, and the unincorpor-
ated areas of Yucaipa and Calimesa may be allowed to make
credit purchases without a down payment. In all such
cases, the City of Redlands will hold the mortuary responsi-
ble for payment when due, if not paid by the customer.
In all grave spaces in which a body is interred, the City
shall require that all costs , including the interment fees ,
purchases of vases, markers and borders , shall be paid in
full within twelve (12) month from the date of interment.
Sales or charges of $30 .00 or less shall be made on a
cash-sale basis only ,
(b) Credit Terms for Pre-Need Sales :
Grave Lots 10% down payment
Mausoleum Crypts 20% down payment
Balance payable within thirty-six (36) months or less by
equal monthly payments . Minimum monthly payment: $10 .00 .
Interest charged at 1% per month for payments overdue .
(c) Discounts :
A discount of five percent (5%) is allowed on all cash
sales in excess of $80 .00 .

(d) Processing and Transfer Fee
A processing and transfer fee of $25 .00 will be charged
on all property returns and transfers . This fee may be
waived by the management in instances where transfer or
return of property is advantageous to the City.
SECTION SIX: This resolution shall be effective on July 1, 1979 .
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 19th day of June, 1979 .
