HomeMy WebLinkAbout2823_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 2823 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ESTABLISHING FEES FOR INDUSTRIAL WASTE. WHEREAS, the City of Redlands sewerage system discharges C7� treated effluent into permeable soil structures ; and WHEREAS, Regional Water Quality Control Board No. 8 of the State of California has established limitations upon the chemical content of sewage effluent discharged by the City of Redlands ; and WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has adopted Ordinance No . 1403 regulating the flow of certain wastes into its sewerage system; and WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has constructed an impermeable evaporation pond to accommodate such wastes . IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council as follows: The fee charged to discharge shall be one-half cent (kc,) for each gallon deposited in the evaporation pond. The price for hauling industrial waste shall be $20. 00 per hour. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these charges shall take effect August 1 , 1970. Until that date, all commercial and industrial discharges in the City will be permitted to use the evaporation pond at no charge and City forces will haul industrial waste, whenever practical, at no charge to the industry. - ADOPTED, SIGNED, AND APPROVED this 30th day of June, 1970. �'� Mayor of the City of Redlands ATTEST: Deputy City Clerk APPROVED FOR FORM: lorney
