A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ACKNOWLEDGING THE TITLE TRANSFER OF THE HOMEKEY PROGRAM
FUNDED REDLANDS GOOD NITE INN PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Community Development ("Department")
has issued a Notice of Funding Availability, dated September 9, 2021 ("NOFA"), for the
Homekey Program ("Homekey" or "Program"). The Department has issued the NOFA for
Homekey grant funds pursuant to Health and Safety Code section 50675.1.3 (Assem. Bill No.
140 (2021-2022 Reg. Sess.), § 20.); and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands (Eligible Applicant"), Shangri-La Industries, a
Delaware limited liability company ("Co -Grantee"), and Step Up on Second Street, Inc. a
California nonprofit Corporation ("Co -Applicant") jointly applied for and were awarded grant
funds from the Housing and Community Development Department's Homekey Round 2 Program
for the Redlands Good Nite Inn project; and
WHEREAS, Shangri-La Industries, LLC and Step Up on Second, Inc. have formed a
single -asset entity partnership to own the Good Nite Inn property located at 1675 Industrial Park
Ave. in the City of Redlands; and
WHEREAS, the property Grant Deed confirms the transfer of the previously named, Good
Nite Inn Redlands, Inc., a California corporation, to 1675 Industrial Park, LP, a Delaware limited
partnership.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein by this
reference.
Section 2. The City Council acknowledges the formation of the single asset entity
partnership as 1675 Industrial Park, LP, a Delaware limited partnership and the addition of this
entity to the Homekey Round 2 Standard Agreement No. 21-HK-17166.
