A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF REDLANDS ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF LOCAL
STORM DRAIN FEES AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 4392
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands
("this City Council") has approved first reading of Ordinance
No. 2037 which will establish a requirement for the payment
of local storm drain fees by new development within the City
to ensure that new storm drains are constructed and made
available concurrent with the need caused by the new
development; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2037 requires that this City
Council shall, by resolution, adopt a schedule setting forth
the specific amount of fees which will be levied upon new
development within the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has undertaken a
comprehensive study of the City' s local storm drain system
and the need for new storm drains and improvements caused by
new development; and
WHEREAS, the results of the City Engineer' s study
demonstrate that the amount of local storm drain fees should
be based upon the type of development, the zone in which such
development is proposed to be located and the estimated
runoff calculation caused by the construction of such
development;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council
of the City of Redlands as follows:
SECTION 1 . Local storm drain fees for residential,
commercial and industrial development are hereby determined
to be: (1) $1 ,079 .82 per dwelling unit for residential
development constructed in the RA zone; (2) $823 .75 per
dwelling unit for residential development constructed in the
RE zone; (3) $605 .07 per dwelling unit for residential
development constructed in the RS zone; (4) $546 .39 per
dwelling unit for residential development constructed in the
R-1 zone; (5) $436 .46 per dwelling unit for residential
development constructed in the R-2, R-2,2000 and R-3 zones;
(6) $5 ,345 .10 per acre for commercial and industrial
development constructed within the C and I/M zones, based
upon the attached table.
SECTION 2 . Local storm drain fees for residential
dwelling units constructed in agricultural zones are hereby
determined to be $59 .39 per dwelling unit within the A-1 zone
or on a parcel of more than 1 .5 acres in commercial
agricultural production, and $237 .56 per dwelling unit in the
A-2 zone .
SECTION 3 . Local storm drain fees for any
construction of buildings, additions or other impervious
areas not included in Sections 1 and 2 of this resolution are
hereby determined to be $0 .20 per square foot of roofed and
paved (impervious) area.
SECTION 4 . This resolution shall become effective
concurrent with the effective date of Ordinance No . 2037 .
