RESOLUTION NO. 4393
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF REDLANDS ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE
OF STREET IMPROVEMENT FEES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands
( "this City Council" ) has approved first reading of Ordinance No.
2038 which will establish a requirement for the payment of street
improvment fees by new development within the City to ensure that
new street construction and street reconstruction and widening
improvements are available concurrent with the need caused by new
development;
WHEREAS, Ordinance No . 2038 requires that this City
Council shall , by resolution, adopt a schedule setting forth the
specific amount of street improvement fees which will be levied
upon new development within the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has undertaken a comprehensive
study of the City' s street system and the need for new streets
and street improvements caused by new development; and
WHEREAS, the results of the City Engineer ' s study
demonstrate that the specific amount of street improvement fees
levied upon development should be based upon the type of
development, the zone in which such development is proposed to be
located and the estimated number of trips per day generated by the
residents or occupants of such development;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of
the City of Redlands as follows :
SECTION 1 . Street improvement fees for residential,
commercial and industrial development are hereby determined to
be: ( 1 ) $175. 80 per dwelling unit for residential development
constructed in the RA, RE, RS and R-1 zones ; ( 2 ) $107 . 24 per
dwelling unit for residential development constructed in the R--
2 zone ; ( 3 ) $10 ,548 . 00 per acre for commercial development
constructed within the C zone; and ( 4 ) $944 . 05 per acre for
industrial and manufacturing development constructed within the
I/M zone, based upon the following table:

Actual fees for the commercial and industrial zones should be
based on the average daily trips in and out for the specific
development times the calculated fee per trip ( $17 . 58) .

SECTION 2 . This resolution shall become effective
concurrent with the effective date of Ordinance No. 2038.
