A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ESTABLISHING STREET SWEEPING CHARGES
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the City
should continue to provide street sweeping services for the
health, safety and welfare of its citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the City
should charge a street sweeping fee to recoup the cost of
providing street sweeping services; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the charges
established herein will not exceed the reasonable cost of
providing street sweeping services;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Redlands, California, does hereby resolve, declare, determine and
order as follows:
SECTION 1. Every owner of improved property within the
City shall pay a bi-monthly street sweeping charge as follows:
Single Family Residences $3 . 20/lot or parcel
Multiple Family Residences $2 .20/unit
Commercial $5.86/unit

SECTION 2. The street sweeping service charge shall be
included on the bi-monthly solid waste disposal bill, and any
property owner failing to pay the street sweeping charge in a
timely manner shall be declined solid waste disposal services
until such time as the charges are brought current. When the
charge cannot be billed on the solid waste disposal bill, the
charge shall be billed separately.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 16th day of January,
1990 .

RE: LITTER CONTROL FEES
The attached resolution was prepared at the request of
Dan Rodriguez, the City' s Community Services Director. The
resolution establishes new street sweeping rates, and provides
that such rates will be charged on the City' s solid waste disposal
bill .
