HomeMy WebLinkAbout6602_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 6602 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ESTABLISHING SPECIFIC AMOUNTS OF NEW COMPREHENSIVE PARK AND OPEN SPACE, STORM DRAINAGE AND PUBLIC FACILITIES FEES Whereas, Chapters 3.32, 3.56 and 3.60 of the Redlands Municipal Code establish, respectively, Park and Open Space, Storm Drainage and Public Facility fees (Civic Center, City Yard, Fire, Library, Police) to implement the City's General Plan to ensure that public park and open space lands, storm drains and public facilities improvements which meet City standards are available concurrent with the need caused for such lands and facilities by new development in the City; and Whereas, pursuant to a study entitled "The City of Redlands Public Facilities Fee Study," dated May 15, 2007, the City Council of the City of Redlands (this "City Council") has adopted Ordinance No. 2661 to update and establish regulations governing the imposition of new Park and Open Space, Storm Drainage and Public Facility fees in Chapters 3.32, 3.56 and 3.60 of the Redlands Municipal Code; and Whereas, the provisions of the Redlands Municipal Code further provide that the specific amounts of the fees identified in Chapters 3.32, 3.56 and 3.60 of the Code shall be established by resolution of this City Council; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows: Section 1. The Fire Facilities Fee is hereby established in the following amounts: A. Residential Fee per dwelling unit 1. Single family $ 996.00 2. Multi-family $ 700.00 B. Non-Residential Fee per sq. foot of floor area 1. Commercial S 0.50 2. Office S 0.72 3. Industrial $ 0.24 DJM1Reso\6602 1 Section 2. The General Government Facilities Fee (Civic Center, City Yard) is hereby established in the following amounts: A. Residential Fee-per.,dwellin_g.unit 1. Single family S2,644.00 2. Multi-family $ 1,859.00 B. Non-Residential Fee per sq. foot of floor area 1. Commercial $ 0.46 2. Office $ 0.67 3. Industrial S 0.22 Section 3. The Library Facilities Fee is hereby established in the following amounts: A. Residential Fee per dwelling unit 1. Single family S 764.00 2. Multi-family S 538.00 B. Non-Residential Fee per sq. foot of floor area 1. Commercial $ 0.11 2. Office $ 0.15 3. Industrial $ 0.05 Section 4. The Open Space and Parks Fee is hereby established in the following amounts: A. Residential Fee per dwelling unit 1. Single-family $ 4,482.00 2. Multi-family $ 3,151.00 B. Non-Residential Fee per sq. foot of floor area 1. Commercial S 0.62 2. Office $ 0.89 3. Multi-family $ 1,270.00 B. Non-Residential Fee per sq. foot of floor area 1. Commercial $ 0.31 2. Office $ 0.46 3. Industrial $ 0.15 Section 6. The Storm Drain Facilities Fee is hereby established in the following amounts: A. Residential Fee per dwelling unit 1. Single-family residence $ 700.00 2. Multi-family $ 343.00 B. Non-Residential Fee per sq. foot of floor area 1. Commercial $ 0.17 2. Office $ 0.17 3. industrial $ 0.15 Section 7. This resolution shall take effect on the effective date of City of Redlands Ordinance No. 2661.
