RESOLUTION t:ay 15, 1944
WHEREAS, The State of California will, ander that certain legislative
enactment kno'w'n as Chapter 605, Statutes of 194-3. :rive financial aid to "local
Agencies" for necessary and worthy defense projects, and
IWJ�MPEZAS, The City of Redlands, a local agency, is without adequate funds
to provide and carry on overnight housing for U. S. service personnel and for
defense clerical work-, and
WHEREAS, The City Council of Redlands has appropriated and expended
money for overnight housing and clerical help equal to or in excess of the
suit of $1,320.35, no part of which has been received from any state agency,
noir therefore be it,
RESOLVED, That the City of Redlands does hereby request from. the State
of California the sum of $1,320.35 and that C. J. Tripp, City Treasurer,
Secretary of the Redlands Defense Council is the official designated to

execute this amended application and agreement.
I do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted at a
special meeting of the City Council of the City of Redlands held on the
