6 certain piece of legislation calling for the allocation of One
7 14illion Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars for fire pre-
8 vention in the forests of Southern California, and
9 'dHEIREA62 if there had been proper fire prevention equip-
10 ment and personnel in the past in the mountain areas of Southern

California there would be less present need and/or demand for
12 � appropriations for flood control.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE M(IYOR AND CITY
14 I COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS i�:D FOLLOWJ:

SECTION ONE: That the City of Redlands through its
16 Mayor and City Council does hereby coLw.end Congressman Edgar
17 Hiestand and expresses its appreciation to him for the intro-

, duction of this legislation, and does hereby go on record as
19 lunanimously supporting this legislation.
20 SECTION TWO: That a certified copy of this resolution
21 be presented to Congressman Edgar Hiestand.
