A .RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS SOLICITING THE ASSISTANCE OF
THE UNITED STATES ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS TO UNDERTAKE AND COMPLETE
A SURVEY RE SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT
The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby resolves :
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands in recent years has been beset
with continued and increasing growth into areas subject to dangers
from floods originating in the Santa Ana River, San Timoteo Creek
and the Mission Channel - Zanja floodways , which growth is expected
to continue , and
WHEREAS, improvements to these streams , beyond those installed
by the San Bernardino County Flood Control District to the limits of
its capability, are urgently required to protect life and property
from the flood dangers ,
NOW THEREFORE, the City of Redlands earnestly solicits the
assistance of the United States Army Corps of Engineers to under-
take and complete survey as requested by the San Bernardino County
Flood Control District at the very earliest time and to recommend
construction projects for authorization by Congress to provide for
the needs of the several streams and facilities first above
mentioned.
