A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ADOPTING THE CITY OF REDLANDS FLOOD CONTROL MASTER PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands desires to eliminate or reduce flooding citywide for the
protection of public health, safety, and welfare; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Utilities and Engineering Department was authorized by the
City Council on July 2d, 2013, to enter into an agreement with RBF Consulting, a professional
engineering services firm, to develop a citywide flood control master plan; and
WHEREAS, the City's consultant has utilized the San Bernardino County Flood Control
District's(SBCFCD) "Zone 3 Comprehensive Storm Drain Plan No.4"prepared in 1976, and the
County's latest hydrology update released in February 2013, in developing a comprehensive
master plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands Flood Control Master Plan will be used as the
foundation for implementing structural Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects when
funding is available;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as
follows:
Section 1. The City Council hereby adopts the City of Redlands Flood Control Master
Plan attached hereto as Exhibit"A."
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 3d day of June, 2014.
