A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DECLARING CERTAIN CITY -OWNED REAL PROPERTIES NOT SURPLUS
PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54220, ET SEQ.
WHEREAS, the Surplus Property Land Act, Government Code Section 54220, et seq.,
defines surplus property as land owned by any local agency that is not necessary for the agency's
use; and
WHEREAS, staff has completed a review of City -owned property and has identified
certain sites that may not be necessary for the City's use as defined in state law; and
WHEREAS, the passage of this resolution will not cause a direct physical change in the
environment, nor a reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment; this action
is therefore exempt from further environmental review pursuant to Sections 15061(b)(3) of the
California Environmental Quality Act guidelines; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as
follows:
Section 1. The City Council hereby determines that approval of this Resolution is exempt
from further environmental review pursuant to Sections 15061(b)(3) of the California
Environmental Quality Act guidelines as approval of this resolution will not cause a direct
physical change to the environment, nor a reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change to the
environment.
Section 2. The City Council hereby declares that those certain City -owned properties, and
any rights, title, and interest therein, listed in Exhibit "A," attached hereto and incorporated by
this reference, are necessary for the City's use and are declared not surplus.
Section 3. The City Council hereby declares that those certain City -owned properties, and
any rights, title, and interest therein, listed in Exhibit `B," attached hereto and incorporated by
this reference, are exempt from Articles II and III of Government Code Section 54220, et seq.
Section 6. This Resolution shall take effect take effect immediately upon its adoption.
