RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF REDLANDS
ADOPTING AND SUBMITTING A REQUEST FOR A FRONTAGE ROAD
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that considerable con-
fusion has been experienced by the freeway traveler attempting to
re-enter the freeway and proceed in an easterly direction from
the downtown area; and,
WHEREAS, attempts to alleviate the problem by directional
sign changes have not proven satisfactory and,
WHEREAS, the existing freeway approach routes are un-
familiar and unnatural. to the general public, and contrary to
usual design practices,
THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City
of Redlands hereby requests the State Division of Highways acquire
land and install improvements necessary to provide a frontage road
paralleling the south boundary of the Redlands freeway between
Orange Street and Sixth Street.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this fourth day of February, 1964.
