RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF REDLANDS REGARDING PROPOSED FUNDING
ALLOCATION FOR THE 1976 RECREATIONAL BOND
ACT FOR SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY
WHEREAS, the County of San Bernardino, the Cities,
and Special Districts are responsible for approving a
priority plan for expenditure and development of recrea-
tional park projects within the County of San Bernardino
from funds available under the 1976 State Recreational Bond
Act (Nejedly-Hart State, Urban and Coastal Park Bond Act
of 1976) , and
WHEREAS, one of the primary areas of this act is the
development of urban parks and recreational projects, and
WHEREAS , the most equitable method of disbursing funds
available through the Cities , Special Districts and County
of San Bernardino lies in utilizing a per capita allocation,
similar to that utilized by the Nejedley-Hart Recreational
Bond Act, and
WHERE-AS, the greatest needsfor additional park and
recreational development in San Bernardino County at this
time are in areas experiencing sufficient population growth
and intense urban development,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Redlands hereby approves and recommends to
the County Board of Supervisors for its consideration and
adoption of a method of allocating funds from the 1976 State
Recreational Bond Act in accordance with the formula attached
as Exhibit A and made a part hereof.

February 1977.

1.976 RECREATIONAL BOND ACT
A FORMULA FOR ALLOCATION OF FUNDING BASED ON
PER CAPITA POPULATION
Method of calculation allocation of the counties grant
of $2, 692, 189 for the development of urban recreational
parks shall be based upon a per capita allocation through
each City, Special District (possessing legal authority
for recreational development) and the County.
POPULATION BASELINE DATA
In determining the allocation of grant funds to each
applicable entity, the 1.976 official population estimates
promulgated by the State Department of Finance shall be used.
BASIC ALLOCATION FORMULA
Basic per capita allocation shall be determined by the formula:
$2, 692, 189
County Wide 1.976 DOF Population = Per Capita Allocation
All allocation to applicable entities shall be determined by
the formula :
1.976 DOF Population X Per Capital Allocation
Allocation per Entity
