A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A RIGHT-OF-WAY CERTIFICATE
PERTAINING TO A FEDERALLY ASSISTED, SECTION 230 , SAFER
ROADS PROJECT KNOWN AS THE GARDEN STREET DRAIN PROJECT
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands
as follows:
WHEREBY the Mayor of the City of Redlands is hereby authorized
and directed to execute on behalf of said City a right-of-way
certificate pertaining to a Federally assisted Safer Roads
Demonstration Project, Section 230, known as the Garden Street
Drain Project.
The project would replace an existing open ditch in Garden
Street with a reinforced concrete pipe between the limits of
Eucalyptus Street and Mariposa Drive. A copy of the right-of-
way certificate is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and
referred to and made a part hereof as fully as though set
forth at length herein.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 19th day of October, 1976 .

EXHIBIT "A"
RIGHT-OF-WAY CERTIFICATION
The City of Redlands hereby certifies in connection with
the right-of-way for a Federal Safer Roads Demonstration Project
known as The Carden Street Drain Project.
All necessary rights-of-way have been acquired, including
legal and physical possession.
1. STATUS OF RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITION
a. Total number of parcels required - NONE
b. Parcels acquired outright - NONE
2 . STATUS OF AFFECTED RAILROAD FACILITIES - No railroad
facilities affected.
3. DESIGNATED MATERIALS SITES None
4. DESIGNATED DISPOSAL AREAS None
5. STATUS OF UTILITY RELOCATIONS - None
6. SCHEDULE FOR RDIOVAL OF OBSTRUCTIONS - None
7. UNAUTHORIZED ENCROACIDIENTS - None
8. COMPLIANCE WITH RELOCATION ADVISORY ASSISTANCE AND PAYMENTS
PROVISIONS OF FEDERAL AND STATE LAW - Provisions of IM-80-1- 71
relating to assistance for displaced families and businesses
are not applicable to this project since no families or
businesses are being displaced. Also , for the above reason,
no 90-day notices are required.
The City of Redlands agrees to hold the State of California
harmless from any liability which may result in the event the
right-of-way is not clear as certified. If the State is named
in a damage suit , as a result of the right-of-way not being clear
as certified, the City of Redlands agrees that, at the request of
the State, it will assume full responsibility for the conduct of
the defense or provide such assistance as the State may require
and will pay judgments issued against the State and all casts
in connection with the defense,
